Cowboy Quackers wasn't always the tallest duck in the county. Legend says he hatched behind an old roadside diner somewhere between Amarillo and nowhere, Texas. From the moment he popped out of his shell, he had two things: a giant brown hat three sizes too big and an attitude even bigger.

As a young duckling, Quackers traveled from town to town in the back of a dusty pickup truck owned by Old Man Tucker, a retired rodeo clown who taught him the ways of the Wild West. He learned how to line dance on saloon tables, stare down troublemakers with his signature sunglasses, and never leave a friend behind.

Since then, Cowboy Quackers has become a wandering folk hero of cruise ports, county fairs, and roadside barbecue joints. Folks say if you hear country music and the faint squeak of inflatable boots at sunset, Cowboy Quackers is nearby helping stranded travelers, judging chili cook-offs, or teaching young ducklings how to two-step.

He travels with a weathered suitcase full of cruise souvenirs, hot sauce packets, and rubber duck tags from every ship he's sailed. Though tough as leather boots, Cowboy Quackers has a soft side - especially for fellow adventurers like Donnie the Duck, Ernie the Eagle, and the late Dottie the Duck, whose memory he honors with every voyage.

His motto?

"Ride the waves, tip your hat, and never duck a good adventure."
