Dottie The Duck

With heavy hearts and a few floating rubber rings, we announce the untimely passing of Dottie the Duck, who lost her life in a tragic hot tub accident on May 6, 2026.

Born on May 10, 2025, Dottie lived a life filled with adventure, laughter, and countless cruise ship memories. She spent her happiest days sailing the seas aboard the grand ships of Princess Cruises and Royal Caribbean, where she became known by passengers and crew alike as the friendly duck always ready for a photo opportunity.

Dottie had a gift for bringing smiles wherever she waddled. Whether perched by the pool deck, relaxing in the solarium, or exploring ports of call, she never missed the chance to pose for pictures with fellow travelers and hardworking crew members. Her joyful spirit and tiny webbed feet left an unforgettable mark across many oceans.

She is survived by her devoted brother, Donnie the Duck; her beloved cousins, Ernie the Eagle, Betty the Bunny, Greg the Gingerbread Man, and Nick the Nutcracker, all of whom will continue sharing stories of Dottie's legendary cruising adventures.

Though her final voyage came too soon, Dottie's memory will sail on forever in the hearts of those who knew her. May calm seas and endless buffets greet her beyond the horizon.
