Greg the Gingerbread Man was baked on a snowy December morning deep inside the legendary Sugarplum Bakery at the edge of Gumdrop Village. Unlike the other gingerbread cookies, Greg came out of the oven with a crooked icing smile and one gumdrop button slightly off-center. The other cookies thought he looked strange, but Greg believed imperfections gave him character.

From the very beginning, Greg dreamed of adventure beyond the candy cane fences of his hometown. While the other gingerbread folk stayed safely in Chocolate Mountain Valley, Greg wandered the Peppermint Paths searching for new friends, hidden treasures, and the perfect cup of hot cocoa.

One winter evening during the Great Marshmallow Blizzard, Greg discovered a tiny abandoned teddy bear buried beneath the cotton candy snowbanks. He carried the little bear everywhere after that, believing no one should ever feel left behind or forgotten. That same night, Greg earned the nickname "The Sweethearted Wanderer."

Greg became famous across Candyland for helping travelers who got lost among the Lollipop Forests and Frosting Caves. He once rescued an entire group of gummy bears trapped during a caramel flood using nothing but licorice ropes and sheer determination. Another time, he climbed the icy cliffs of Chocolate Mountain to relight the Great Peppermint Beacon so wandering candy folk could find their way home.

Though cheerful and kind, Greg carried a secret fear: he worried someday he might crumble apart like stale gingerbread. Instead of letting fear stop him, he chose to spend every day spreading joy, hugs, and peppermint cheer wherever he traveled.

Every holiday season, Greg can still be seen walking the swirled candy roads in his festive red cap, holding his tiny teddy bear close, smiling at strangers, and reminding everyone that even the sweetest hearts can survive the coldest winters.
